Copper Rush - Friday Night GeoCoin Show & Shine

July 30th, 2010 - 7 PM until bed

Friday – the Festivities Start, either you’ve already spent the day caching – or you’re just ready to get started – either way when dusk starts in its time to focus on something other than TupperWare in the Forest! It’s time to meet your fellow Cachers!

We realized that BC never really has had a Province Wide Geocoin Show & Shine!

So what better way to highlight your collections - Bring them all!!!

Have Geocoins? Bring them out for the Geo-Coin Show & Shine at the Picnic Tables!

Have TB’s to Exchange? Bring them over to the central exchange to move on to their new locations!

Poker - Poker - We love our Poker!!

Here are the Poker Guidelines:

Saturday Night, July 31st.  Start time aproximately 8:30 (some that are organizing are doing the whipsaw run so we need to ensure they have time to make it back and set up)

Buy-In:

  • Buy-In is 2 coins
  • Coins must be unactivated and trackable
  • Try to get interesting coins for buy-in
  • Don't use someone elses personnal coin for buy-in
  • You can use your own personnal coins for buy-in
  • No micro coins, two micros will count as one full size coin

We followed these guidelines last year and it worked well.  This is so we get a good selection of coins and less chance of duplicates, last year the coin selection was great.

Anacortes - Tantelizing & Delicious PDF Print E-mail

Last weekend we made our annual trip to Anacortes, and I think that this year gave me more pause in my reflections on life then ever before.  I never really realized why the location holds so much importance to me, but in retrospect I realize it is one of the few places that truly holds positive memories for me.  From the memories of the ferry right,  saving the baby whale, to the bunnies at the Deception pass campground, to the last three trips since we found geocaching.  Every memory is a happy one - with no negativity which is rare in my life.

So tonight I sit back with a glass of wine and reflect back on the joys of a life more traveled, and the unconventional roads it has taken me as we look at the caches and adventures we uncovered over a few days.
